Prior to continuing with doling out a portfolio, acclimate yourself with the guidelines and credit necessities for such a task. As it were, what might an understudy need in their portfolio for it to be viewed as a triumph and for them to win a passing evaluation? The response to the past two inquiries causes structure the response to the third: What ought to be remembered for the portfolio? Is it accurate to say that you will have understudies placed in allâ ofâ their work or just certain assignments? Who gets the opportunity to pick? The Positive Impact of Technology on Education Essays -- Teaching Educ
The Positive Impact of Technology on Education Today, innovation is found wherever in education. There are PCs in huge numbers of the study halls and schools contain PC labs, or possibly various PCs in the library accessible to understudies. In my paper, I need to talk about a portion of the positive and negative impacts that innovation has on instruction. All through my tutoring, I’ve seen innovation experience various phases of significance in education. When I was in basic, I saw perhaps one PC in the entire school.Moving to center school, every homeroom had around two PCs for understudies to use.The library had a little PC lab where PC classes were held and understudies could join to utilize them.High school comprised of PCs in each classroom. The science and material science room had a little PC lab, the library had a lab of around 30 PCs, and we had a PC lab down the lobby as well.I as of late returned a visit to my primary school and was flabbergasted at the progressions that had occurred, all technological. The library was transformed into a fu...

How to write a successful abstract properly
How to write a successful abstract properly First of all, lets define why you may need this paper and what it is. The abstract is usually used for scientific paper, and it became very popular lately. Sometimes people may easily confuse it with the similar type of document called the annotation for paper. You should keep in your memory these two things are quite different so its a big mistake to confuse them. So, lets begin with the abstract definition and learn some rules about how to make it properly. If to translate the word “abstract†to English, we receive next words: core, summary, outline. So, this document is a brief summary that gives to the reader a possibility to review materials used for writing and choose the information according to their research. We can define the abstract as the works background, a kind of the independent part that covers just some aspects of the whole document written by the author and presented to readers. Sometimes this paper can be created as a part of a given task. You have to understand that even the abstract is situated as the first paragraph of the whole work, this important part should be written as last stage of your task (when you have finished the whole writing). Dont be neither in panic nor rush when you have to make an abstract for a document. Just remember the one simple rule this paper is a brief summary of the whole document. Readers may use it as a short review for your document, because it describes the whole papers content, gives the results of the scientific paper and defines the significance of the problem or research issue in general. People who read the abstract can use it as a short overview of your work. It helps readers understand the main goal of the work before reading it, so people can define if it worth their attention according to their searches. An important moment that you should put in the abstract main phrases and keywords that will simplify the search process. While youre making an abstract, never start work on it till you finish the whole document. After your article is finished, you can write a short brief summary that contains your works goal, problem, methods of research, results and conclusion. After you did it, then you just have to format it correctly to make a good abstract. Writing an abstract in MLA format Keep in your memory this part shouldnt be very large because its just the one paragraph length. According to MLA format, you should follow the specific rules and never exceed the limit of words. Here are main requirements: Make sure your abstract is comprehensive; this means it covers all important parts of the whole article. This part should be written cohesive and smoothly. Dont make it too large with unnecessary words or information, just keep it concise. Try to make it clear and well understandable for both non-experts or experts. The analysis of abstracts show that the main problem in writing this paper is the lack of structure. However, an analysis of abstracts across a range of fields show that a central issue is the lack of structure in abstract writing. That may be a real trouble to write something without clear understanding how to make it properly, which things should come first and which last. We want to clear this moment and introduce an abstract structure. You can discover it and make a successful abstract that will have all the needed parts. How to make the abstract structure properly We already mentioned that the abstract should be brief, but still many people are not sure how to write it properly. Here is a checklist that you can use to create a good abstract: Motivation â€" define why the problem of your work is important? If the articles problem doesnt seem extremely “interesting†for readers, then you should put the motivation first. But if you have written a quite interesting work about the very important problem, then youd better put the problem statement first to define the main problem and goal of your paper. Problem statement â€" define the problem youre solving in your work. Describe in what field you are going to make your researches. Write accurate and dont use jargon words and phrases, its a serious paper that doesnt allow it. Usually the problem statement comes before the motivation, but if you are not sure the most of the readers understand the importance of your paper, then you can put the motivation before the problem statement. Describe your works approach, which methods and procedures you used for researches. Note is you used prototyping, simulation, analysis of field data or analytic models for the research. Results â€" put your papers results in the end of your abstract. Here you should avoid vague words like “smallâ€, “significant†or “veryâ€. Try to define results clearly for readers. Conclusion â€" define if you have answered your papers main problem? Are your results matched your expectations? Was your work significant or it was just a waste of time? Think about if its possible to continue researches in this field and define the possible ways you see. Abstract writing: main steps So, now you have read all instructions and ready to start. Here some important steps of the writing process: Make short notes before starting: Make sure you know the deadline; Define the length of your abstract (notice that the APA style requires the abstract shouldnt be longer than 100 words, and MLA style defines the length as 250 words). Do not exceed these limits. Define the main goal of your work (describe to your readers problem that you have researched) Choose your audience (think about who would be interested in reading the whole paper, why they want to read it) Write your first draft. After you finished it, try to get a feedback from your supervisors or colleagues. This will give you a good understanding if your abstract is written properly. Use received feedback and revise your paper thoroughly. Proofread the finished work and correct all grammar, spelling and punctuation errors. Needless to say that writing a successful abstract can be a real challenge. But if you did the job well, the abstract will allow the reader to understand the purpose of your paper and learn more about the whole article. Of course, not each and every person is able to create a good work, so if you are not sure your abilities are enough good to write a clear abstract, ask our professionals that are ready to offer you their help.

A debate over ABC Family Values Free Essays
The article is based on the analysis of a Walt Disney Company owned ABC TV series;  â€Å"The Secret Life of the American Teenager†and attempts to relate its scenes and theme to the present day common teenage sexual encounters and early pregnancies. The authors attempt to question the shift to programs that are sex based by the ABC TV given that Disney not only has themes, in their view, are out of place on a channel with But â€Å"Secret Life†has the word â€Å"family†in its name but also has  a chaste image (James Chmielewsk, 2009). By venturing into teenage sex series, Disney which presumably ought to promote family values and fight sex before marriage, appears to have undergone a kind of revolution. We will write a custom essay sample on A debate over ABC Family Values or any similar topic only for you Order Now The series reportedly show playing on bed, a father enquiring about daughters’ sex life and revelation about a father molesting his son. ABC Family also plans to show a comedy about a young woman rejected by a boyfriend after having his baby, keeping in mind that its programs are known to advance youth innocence (James Chmielewsk, 2009). In a rejoinder however, the Disney-ABC Television Group argues that they are just being genuine and responsive to the life experiences of their audiences in attempt to mirror what is happening in the society (James Chmielewsk, 2009). However, this comment has generated concern about the paradigm shift from the â€Å"family programming,†to contemporary series despite a sensible reason to appeal to the younger viewers; a situation necessitated by research findings. I think that the â€Å"Sex Lives of the American Teenager†a timely series by ABC owing to the increasing cases of teenage sexual experiences, early pregnancies and child molestation. These, are social ills which contravene Disney’s family values hence the series serve to educate the public. At the same time, ABC has ensured that each episode ends with an advisory that encourages parents and children to talk before it’s too late, an idea which I believe illustrates the very message that the explicit teenage scenes tend to depict. Aim of My Life free essay sample
There is a saying, â€Å"Those who aim high, reach high†. It is indeed true. Without a clear-cut aim in life, life just drifts. It just floats-aimless, rudderless and not knowing where one is heading to. If we look into the lives of great men and women of our times, we see that they had clear- cut aims and well demarcated goals in life. Having clear-cut goals in life is the first step to success, because â€Å"Where there is a will, there is a way†. I have always been very passionate about flying air- crafts. As far as I can remember. I have always wanted to be a pilot. Perhaps, this desire to become a pilot originated in me due to the fact that my uncle is an air- force pilot. His life, the adventure stories he used to tell me, the respect and fame he received, etc. , have all inspired me to follow his foot-steps. We will write a custom essay sample on Aim of My Life or any similar topic specifically for you Do Not WasteYour Time HIRE WRITER Only 13.90 / page But it is not easy to become a pilot, especially an air- force pilot. And I am very much aware of this fact. This job requires a great deal of intelligence and proper education and training. A number of years have to be spent studying aeronautics and other related subjects and gaining proper training. Certain physical fitness is also required. Moreover, risks are the part and parcel of the life of an air force pilot. One must be ready to face any adverse situations, as accidents injuries and even sudden death. This job calls for a great deal of personal discipline, courage and determination. It is one of the toughest professions in the world. Yet I am determined to become one. At present I am putting my very best in my studies. I have joined the N. C. C. to make myself fit and to achieve certain amount of discipline and physical fitness. After my matriculation examination, I intend to study my pre-university course in a renowned college in New Delhi. I would be staying with my uncle in New Delhi so that I could get acquainted with the air force way of life. Another purpose of shifting myself to New Delhi, is to enable me to attend some professional coaching classes for National Defence Selection Test. It is one of the toughest examinations currently held in India. I believe that two years of intense preparation would enable me to get through this test. Once the person passes this test, he is called for an interview. Interview is also equally an important step in the selection process. A good deal of preparation has to go in, before the interview. After the interview is over, there is the physical test which would not be a major problem for me, as I have all the necessary physical standards at present, in respect to my present age. Once a person gets through this stage, he is sent for training as a pilot for two or three years. Training is extremely difficult and â€Å"competence†is the key word in this process. Even at this stage there is certain amount of selection. Only the really fit and competent individuals are sent for higher and more intense training as fighter pilots. Only after several years of intense training, that they are declared to be fighter pilots. Perhaps no other job requires so much of training and updating as the job of a pilot. I do know that everyone who aims does not reach the goal they aim at. Many fail on the way. Some drop out in between. Some get stuck down by bad luck and ill health. As for me, I am doing all I can to reach my goal. Only time will tell, whether I will finally reach my intended goal. I hope that luck and favour will not desert me on the way.

Billgates Essays - Microsoft, Bill Gates, MS-DOS, OS2, Windows XP
Billgates William Henry Gates III was born in Seattle, Washington, in 1955. Bill was called Trey by his father, since Trey means three. Trey was always smart, and always loved even the earliest computers he could get his hands on. He went to a public school at first, and made a few friends there. He was pushing all the school had to offer to the limits, until his parents decided to send him to a private school. He at first didn't like the idea, but shortly after decided to go. The new school he went to, called Mothers' Club, was where he got his hands on his first computer. The mothers decided to have a rummage sale. The proceeds were used to buy a computer terminal, and buy computer time for the students. Trey said he has always been grateful for the computer bought, especially in the '60s, since computers were such an unusual thing to get at that time. The All through his teens, Trey as rebelling against his mother. He did everything his own way. He was always ! hard to get along with, unles s he had at least some control. That was, as I have read about him, the way his personality was. He went to a psychologist for a few years, because his mother refused to give in to Bill's rebellion. The psychologist just insisted that she must give in, because he couldn't help it, that was just the way he was. Bill wrote his first computer program, a version of tic tac toe, when he was only 13 years old! The way it worked was where each time you made a move on the keyboard, the extremely loud printer came out with the results slowly after each move. Although a 5 minute tic tac toe game could take as long as 2 hours, the kids at school, including Bill and his best friend, Paul Allen, liked it anyway since it was so extraordinary to be using what they actually made themselves. Bill and Paul were always best friends, and they were both very interested in computers. Paul was about four years older than Bill. When Bill went to college, in Ha! rvard. Paul got a job as a computer programme r while Bill was at his first two years in college. Paul constantly came to see Bill. One day, in December of '75,Paul came running to Bill with a magazine in his hand. The magazine was Popular Electronics, and on the cover was the Altair 8800, the first mini- computer kit. It was named after the planet in a Star Trek episode, Altair. Paul convinced Bill to start a company with him, and to drop out of Harvard. Bill, somewhat reluctantly, agreed. William Gates and Paul Allen started a company together, when Trey was 19, in 1976. They eventually decided to call it MicroSoft. The goal of Microsoft was to put a computer on every desk in every building. To make that happen, Microsoft aimed on compatibility. A few years after Microsoft was founded, Paul Allen left. He now owns a basketball team, the Portland Trail Blazers. Bill is now married to his wife, Melissa, and a daughter. Bill Gates PAGE 2: ACCOMPLISHMENTS With all the technology advances related to PC's during the beginning years in Microsoft, Bill Gates knew that in order to have a chance in the computer revolution that he pictured, he would have to jump in the open door, because I was closing fast. He knew that Microsoft would have to be in the PC industry from the beginning if he wanted it to stand a chance. This page of my report is all about how Microsoft stayed on top, and what Bill accomplished individually, this year, and in the last decade. Before Microsoft was founded, Paul Allen and Bill tried to use all the top chips they could to make software in it. Right before they founded Microsoft, they sent out Basic programs to all top companies, but no one answered him. They didn't accept it, probably because Bill and Allen were teenagers. After Microsoft was founded, however, they made foreign software for Japanese. They were making it for a long time, but

Aboriginal youth gangs - Term Paper Example ently so violent in nature, the manner of recruitment and the preventive programs taken up by civil society and governments alike to weed away impressionable youth from this menace. Data shows that there are approximately 800-1000 aboriginal gangs operating in the Prairie Provinces in Canada. (Totten Mark, 2009) The regions of Saskatchewan, Manitoba and British Columbia also have a significant presence of aboriginal gangs. Most members of these gangs are below 17 with 22% of these being aborigines. (Totten Mark, 2008) Police statistics show that between 1992 and 2001, criminal activity in the Saskatchewan area showed a significant increase by 17%. (FSIN, 2003) The gangs currently operating in this region include Indian Posse and Redd Alert who in turn keep their chain of command active by supplying its members with regular supply of marijuana and cocaine. Redd Alertt traces its origins to an organized prison gang in Edmonton back in the 90’s. (Totten Mark, 2008).These gangs have now spread to other parts of Canada including Vancouver, Okanagan and Winnipeg. Studies have shown that there is definitely a hierarchical structure to these gangs. There are smaller street gangs which indulge in spontaneous activity and acts of vandalism. These members are also recruited by the more organized higher criminal organization. The aboriginal gangs have however a fluid structure with no real core ideals except that the new recruit would have to prove his capabilities satisfactorily to the leader. (Totten Mark, 2008).The new gang member is judged and placed in the hierarchical structure based on the amount of cash he can bring or graver the degree of violence he can commit. The one who started the gang in most cases would be leader and would be assisted by his key associates on whom he has considerable trust. The gang has both the Hard-Core members and the Active members. (Totten Mark, 2008).While the hard-core members indulge in serious violent acts between rival gangs, the

The Process of Banking Regulation Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 2000 words
The Process of Banking Regulation - Essay Example The financial crisis exposed failures of banks to control financial meltdown. The case pointed out that banks directed their interest at the expense of the common good of the financial markets. Regulation in the sector is an issue that is quite complex because the UK has banks which handle domestic and international banking. This paper analyses banking regulation and its effects on the financial market. The argument for and against regulation The argument about the need for bank regulation has divided economists into two groups. The first group feels that the banking sector should institute policies, which regulate the operation of banks while the second group feels that banks are volatile to instability, hence less need for regulation. Economists have observed that unregulated actions lead to greater social marginal costs and less private marginal costs (Slaughter and May. 2011). The effects of social marginal costs influence the overall economy because banks form important units of making public payment. This contrasts to private marginal costs because it belongs to a clique of shareholders of the firm. Turner Review on banking regulation proposed interest policy that should be able to tone down macro stability as well as bubbles in the financial sector. However, during the financial spill, it was evident that central banks were unable to control the macro stability of the banks. Elaborate regulation influence practices, which influence lending, and borrowing. Complexity in the sector crops whenever banks failed to comply with the regulation because they tend to manipulate the markets to gain profit (Hoose, 2010:136). The challenge is to balance the financial market as well as doing business. Serving these interests have often thrown the market into crossroads where financial spiff off is inevitable. However, the mandate of the regulation is to promote common good among the market players in the financial sector (Hardy, 2006:6). Economists for regulation have argued that uninsured depositors would create a financial spill when they acquire information about the poor performance of the banks. For instance, Northern Rock bank was a victim of depositors run during the financial crisis in 2007. Many of its depositors were not certain that bank suffered liquidity problem. It means that a bank run would create an adverse effect on the economy because of loses that banks would incur in its attempt to meet the demands of its depositors. The idea is to equip the banks to handle unstable markets (Independent Commission on Banking. 2011: 23). During the 2008 crisis UK, government shielded the banks from falling because they did not have the capacity to absorb the risks. Early banks had demonstrated their ability to lend without evaluating their capacity to handle the risk. Erosion of bank equity destabilized the financial market because the banks lost the ability to bear loses. Proposal on banking regulation is an issue that committees such as the Basel committee have discussed reviewing macro-prudential methods of regulating operation in the banking sector. The report charged with reviewing stability in the banking sector identified three areas first, the minimum requirement of capital, second, supervisory on internal bank assessment and third, cushioning public from risks. Basel committee recommended that each loan should command its own capital requirement as opposed to portfolio the loan added.

Importance Of Stakeholders In An Event Launch Tourism Essay
Importance Of Stakeholders In An Event Launch Tourism Essay This report discusses launching of a new tablet launched by apple. This is a brand new model of a tablet that can be used by anybody and it is also suitable and adopted for every user including children with leaning disabilities due to its customizable features. As a consultant working with the companys event planning team for this product launch, this report will be focusing on the process of planning this event. The process of how to get the potential customers and key stakeholders persons informed and invited to the event. And most important is for the planning process to lead to achieving the companys goals of higher sales targets and to promote the new product to the customers. To meet this, the event needs to be planned in such away that the invited guests and all potential customers gets a positive experience that promotes the image of the company and the brand being marketed. INTRODUCTION Event planning is the procedure of handling a project of this kind through arranging such as a conference, a convention, a trade fair, a team building activity, a hospitality gathering or an exhibition. The planning process includes drawing a realistic budget, drawing a timetable of every activity, choosing and reserving the event venues, obtaining permits where necessary and needed. Planning and making arrangements for food and drinks, harmonising transportation of people and items, designing a suitable theme planning for every activity. There is also need to chose and invite keynote speakers and promoters in good time and ensuring that the venue is well facilitated and equipped with a good public address system if planning for big audiences. Risk management needs to be accounted for while having some contingency plans in cases of eventualities. Event Planning consists of coordinating every little detail of planning from the speakers and meeting location to arranging for printed mat erials and advertising the event itself through chosen media. Event planning begins with determining the objective that the sponsoring organization wants to achieve. Planners strategically choose speakers, entertainment teams and activities, content, and arrange the program to present the organizations information in the most effective way. Meeting planners are responsible for selecting meeting venues, likely guests and how to get them to the meeting. (Institute of Event management, 2012) According to Fill(2005), Marketing communications is a management process through which an organisation endeavours to share its product information with its various audiences. Through understanding the audiences communications setting, organisations seek to cultivate and present messages suitable for their identified stakeholders and interest groups before evaluating and acting upon any responses. By conveying messages that are of significant value, audiences are encouraged to offer attitudinal and behavioural positive response. This Tablet being an electronic item has a potential for a very wide market. It is likely to attract attention from various individuals and groups of people who may include students, teachers, parents of children with learning disabilities, educational institutions and just the general public. OBJECTIVES OF AN EVENT PLANNING Every event planning or product launch should have its goals and objectives to form the vision because without them, your event will not have any defined vision. However, an event can have one or many goals and multiple objectives supporting the goals which are necessary to the success of the event. There should be more than one purpose for an event planning, for example this event is about launching a new product by raising sales target and also promoting the brand. The main purpose of this product launch is to put across our communication strategies either by using the push or pull strategy. The main focus strategy which will be more vital with this product is the pull strategy, by focusing more on the direct consumers than business to business consumers which is also referred to as the push strategy. PROCESS OF PLANNING AN EVENT One very essential stage in an event planning is to have a budget to guide your expenditure and it is also your responsibility as the event organiser to stay within the limits of your budget. Similarly, your also need to develop a marketing strategy which includes advertisements either through the media, internet or digital media for example, social networks and focus groups. And to coordinate the communications and promotional activities for your event as the success of your event will ultimately depend on your ability to sell the event to those attending it. (Carter L., 2007) In order to create an event to fulfil your customers objectives and be everything that they hope it will be, it is important to begin with their event vision. This is where you will be able to determine what is most important to them. Event visualization is after event objectives have been set out, should be your first starting point for planning the event. For this product, apple needs to focus on the PULL strategy as this product is most likely to directly to individual consumers. So a good part of the advertising budget for this event should be committed to digital marketing such as internet marketing, use of social websites like face book, tweeter and the like. Internet advertising through search engine optimisations, email marketing using their existing customers database, contacts and referrals would also be suitable strategies for this product. Use of mobile marketing strategies such as text messaging, ringtones, games demonstrating the product and its new and unique features would prove a success for this kind of item. The beauty of these media is that they would even lead word of mouth since the messages are targeted at the consumers directly. Another good strategy would be to target influential stakeholders and customers invitation to a well planned corporate launch event. In order to host an event that will fulfil your companys objectives and yet have appositive impact to the guests, the planners need to have a clear vision. This is where you will be able to determine what is most important and prioritise the process. Choosing a location is also a very important stage in an event planning, and it needs to be booked at a very early stage to avoid any delays or last minute disappointments. The location needs to be convenience for the visitors and there should be enough room for product display and also for visitors to have space to work around the products and demonstrate them as well. Parking should not be a problem as most of the guest will be driving to the event. Team building is very important in an event planning process; you need good staffing and a security plan. Such a plan is the glue that holds the event together. Coordinate the efforts of your staff (paid and volunteer) and vendors with the venue contact person. Include details such as when vendors arrive, where and how they unload their equipment, where they set up, and how they manage all aspects of the event. You should also address how and when they will tear down and load up to avoid costly surprises. Effective communication on-site is critical. All staff should be fluent in how to operate your communications system (such as walkie-talkies and headsets) and how to contact those responsible for emergency support. Every event needs to address security, even if it just includes hiring an off-duty police officer, working with the hotels security team, it will be worth it. Having a list of emergency phone numbers handy is also helpful. (Jodi W., 2010) Also, another essential part of such an event is to provide the guests with food and refreshments. If possible, hire a DJ to provide the visitors with music to make the environment lively and lift the spirits of the visitors. Engage your customers with conversations by contacting them face to face specially the key visitors and stakeholders. If possible equip your team members with good knowledge of the product to engage with the customers and get them to try the Tablets for themselves and not just be told about them. You could go a further step by setting up an offer price for a promotional sale of the tablet just for this launch day. This will encourage customers and stakeholders to attend, have personal experience with the product and afterwards spread word about it. It might also get many people excited to take advantage of the promotional price and boost the sales. Such an approach is deemed likely to produce positive results. According to Duncan and Moriarty (1997), there are some communications that arise from unplanned or unintended experiences and also there are planned marketing communications. IMPORTANCE OF STAKEHOLDERS IN AN EVENT LAUNCH Stakeholders include, suppliers, customers, investors and the media, they are very important in an event planning because they can be affected by the event and the event also can be affected by the type of evaluation received by the stakeholders. In order to realise the success of an event, it is important to have open communication channels among all stake holders. Since events have broader impacts on a wider public, such open communications will bring more feedback to the company. It is also important to remember that stakeholders are people with vested interests in the company and its products. They are therefore potential attendees. Stake holders add value and reputation to the success of the whole event. Moreover getting the right stakeholders to your event can create the prospect of a great evaluation for the future event planning as well. You can find out what the views and thoughts of key people and important stakeholders by engaging in face to face charts with them throughou t the event.(Robinson P. et al 2010). EVENT EVALUATION PROCESS Finally, as soon as the event is over and the guests have all gone home, while you may be eager to put your planning documents and files away and move one, right after the event is the right time to evaluate the success of your event and discuss opportunities for a better improvement in a future event planning. However, a thorough post-event evaluation ensures you will capture the important details your companys needs to improve its fundraising. A successful evaluation is also a good start for the preparations of your next event. You can get feedbacks from your guest in different ways, either by asking them about their view about the whole event or by giving them questionnaires to fill in and hand it back before living. These feedbacks from your visitors can help you evaluate the success factor of the event. Also it is very important to meet with the event committee and all your team members who were involved in the event process. Arrange a meeting with them and make sure you give them enough time for discussion getting their view and gather all vital information from them for an evaluation for a future event plan. Make sure you cover every important aspect of the event, being careful to note which topics hit nerves in a positive or negative way so you can keep the meeting upbeat. (greater giving, 2012) Conclusions In order to attract the attention of all your potential customers, planners needs to implement the best marketing strategies at their disposal and start good planning ahead of the event for success. Whether the company will choose to use the services of a marketing consultant or manage these issues on their own, its up to them provided the aims and objectives are kept in focus. All important aspects of the planning process need to be taken care of. These should include all the fine details of the whole process such as budgeting actions and steps to be implemented by particular individuals on the planning team. Once all these are done with success, it shouldnt be a big problem for the company to succeed by getting the tartgetde ausdeince to its event nadn thefeor achieves their aims and objectives of the marketing process.

Two Methods of Weightloss
Sarah M. Davies Rough Draft Com/155 Angela Robles 2-24-2013 The comparison of methods to lose weight In early 1999, over 61% of American adults were classified as overweight or obese. Since then, the rising rate of obesity in this country has continued to increase. Obesity has been known to cause many health issues that could result in death. With the rising rate of obesity in Americans, the Surgeon General suggests a reduced calorie diet and cardio exercise to lose weight; however, many become victims of â€Å"easy†weight loss methods such as the â€Å"Hollywood diet†.The Surgeon General is a good source to find methods of weight loss and therefore suggests a reduced calorie diet and rigorous exercise to lost weight. â€Å"Approximately 300,000 deaths each year in the United States may be attributable to obesity. †The first question that arises when the subject of losing weight comes up is: â€Å"Can I still eat what I want? †The answer could possibly be yes if you follow the suggestions of the Surgeon General. When a person is determined to lose weight, they could follow this type of diet to lose weight efficiently.A reduced calorie diet helps weight loss by lowering food intake and allows for fewer calories for the body to process. Another question that has been asked would be: â€Å"Am I going to be getting enough nutrients when I reduce my calories? †These reduced calorie diets do not deprive the body of nutrients but rather adjust the amount of calories one takes in. This type of diet should also include a daily regimented portion of exercise. Exercise helps reduce the risk of heart disease and diabetes in those who are overweight or obese. The Surgeon General also tates â€Å"Overweight and obesity are associated with heart disease, certain types of cancer, type 2 diabetes, stroke, arthritis, breathing problems, and psychological disorders, such as depression. †The risk of all these health issues are drastic ally reduced when one begins exercise to lose weight. The Hollywood diet is a juice only diet that rids your body of chemicals and cleanses your system. However, it is believed by some scientists that the body is capable of ridding toxins from itself without the need for a fast, easy method such as this. The Hollywood diet drink is composed of mostly natural ingredients like water, fructose, pineapple, orange, prune, apple and white grape juices along with preserves and stabilizers. This diet reduces the caloric intake from the standard 2,000 calorie diet to that of only 400 calories per day. Instead of eating three to four square meals per day, the individual would be drinking this juice product four times per day along with water. Statistics show that 84% of people who have tried this diet enjoyed the results. The Hollywood diet can help increase energy, clears up skin and helps reduce constipation. There are also no red flag ingredients included in this drink that could cause issue s with one’s health. Caffeine and ephedra are two ingredients that are not included in this drink. Unfortunately, since this diet is a vitamin and mineral fortified drink, it is only known to be a short term weight loss method and has no known long term results. Experts who have studied this product have stated â€Å"this type of diet can be misleading because an individual would be losing water weight and not fat. †Also, because this is a low calorie diet, it may not be optimal for certain individuals with health issues. In comparison, with a reduced calorie diet and exercise, the individual is provided with all essential vitamins and nutrients to aid in weight loss; but with the Hollywood diet, you are not. The Hollywood diet does not provide an individual with proteins or fats which are essentials to optimal health. If an individual were to follow the Surgeon General’s suggestion, they would be provided these two essentials, just in a smaller dosage. Protein is essential to a healthy diet and fats help the body to function properly. If a person were to be diabetic, the reduced calorie diet with exercise will help maintain blood sugar levels.Unfortunately, with the Hollywood diet, specifically states â€Å"This type of diet is not recommended for diabetics or those with health issues. †Since the Hollywood diet is a very low calorie diet, a person who tries this diet could suffer from intestinal cramping, gallstones and cardiovascular problems. Therefore it is not recommended by the Surgeon General to try this type of diet for â€Å"rapid†weight loss. In conclusion, for optimal results with no underlying health risks, it is best to follow the Surgeon Generals suggestion of a reduced calorie diet and healthy exercise. When an individual follows this diet there is a drastically reduced risk of contracting cardiovascular issues, high blood pressure, and helps aid in losing weight the proper way. The Hollywood diet is a good di et for quick and easy weight loss. Unfortunately, there are certain risks with this diet, especially for those that have diabetes. The main concerns are the fact that with this diet, individuals are only losing water weight and not fat. The name of Hollywood diet allows the user to think of the stars and famous, but with the risk of cardiovascular issues and high blood pressure, there is no stardom inherited. It is imperative to control the rise of obesity and by following the Surgeon Generals suggestion. The body is very important to keep in good health. To quote Henry Ward Beecher: â€Å"The body is like a piano, and happiness is like music. It is needful to have the instrument in good order. †References: http://www. surgeongeneral. gov/library/calls/obesity/fact_whatcanyoudo. html http://www. faddiet. com/hollywooddiet. html http://www. dietsinreview. com/diets/Hollywood_Miracle_Diet/ www. surgeongeneral. gov/library/calls/obesity

Royal Army WW2 Letter Home
Dear Delyla, I'm sorry I haven't been in touch lately; things have been getting really bad over here. There are talks about going over the top but it must be nonsense, we'd all get killed if we did. I hope you all are well. My foot is getting better but I think it will be a long time before I'm fully recovered, the bullet only skimmed my ankle so I was quite lucky I can still walk. Thank you for the pictures, it's been a long time since I've seen your face and I was starting to forget it! It gets so hard out here sometimes you wouldn't believe. You try to sleep at night but there's a constant ringing in your head from the bombs going off and the guns being shot. Then there are the injured soldiers, god bless them for being braver than the rest of us, but it has been there downfall. The screams of pain are agonizing so much so that you yourself feel as though you are also dying a slow and excruciating death. I look at you and it makes me happy for a while, but then I think why I am here and it devastates me. I long to be with you again, to hold you in my arms, to feel your long golden mane flowing through my hands. I miss you dearly. Without you I am nothing. I long for the day I see you again my dear. The thought of what is to come is unbearable, if I was to die I would never forgive myself. But then again I have to fight for my country. There is power to be regained and you who I love the most and many more are counting on me and thousands to pull through and win this conquest. We all pray to God each night to help us, and I ask you to pray for us too. The boiled sweets that you sent me are delightful! I never ever thought that one day I would cherish the taste of a boiled sweet in my mouth! From this exuberating experience I have learnt so much. I now see the world in a completely different light. Its like the saying, you never know what you've got till it's gone, and now I know! I will never again take for granted the small things in life, and if and when I get back I plan to write a book about my hardship. People deserve to know what all us thousands of courageous soldiers have been through, as it should never be brought upon any sole again. We should all be able to get along in life, nobody should lose lives for the sake of such trivial things as land and belongings, its ridiculous. If only us men weren't so obsessed with power. If this be my last letter to you then I want you to know something. I love you more than anyone could love anyone or anything, ever. I think about you every minute of every day and it pains me so much to think of what you are going through without me, having to cope with our young baby and what not. But believe me, I would change it if I could. If this be the end then I bid you goodbye, my one and only love. I will meet you again in a place not so far away and we will be together forever once more. I'll love you for eternity. Mr.Jimbob Jones

Essay on Owen Meany - 928 Words
Essay On: â€Å"A Prayer For Owen Meany†In the novel â€Å"A Prayer For Owen Meany,†John Irving creates the character of Owen as a foil to John, the protagonist. Owen Meany embodies the qualities of a true leader while John grows more like his father: doubtful and lost. nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp; In the beginning of the novel, immediately there is a clear difference between Owen and Johnny. Technically he does make a decision for the rest of his life by going to school for a degree in English, but I see this as the easy way out. Owen has no hesitation when it comes to his future and his decision-making: â€Å"Owen Meany got his scholarship to the University of New Hampshire; he signed up for the ROTC†¦Ã¢â‚¬ This certainty could also stem from Owen’s strong relationship with god. He is gods instrument, making every action meaningful, making every move count. John has a weak relationship with god and is left doubting the existence of a higher power and a purpose for himself. The productivity deck is stacked in Owens favor because John has to play his own game; he is not just a chess piece being directed by God. He has no idea if his next day will be his last or if his next decision will matter in the least, where as Owen just follows his road map to the date on his grave. nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp; There is a Motif in this book that pertains to Casualties in Vietnam.
